Marywood String Project

Marywood University is grateful and honored to have Toyota of Scranton as a partner for our String Project. Due to their generosity, the String Project was able to accept more children into the program and purchase some of the necessary instruments to ensure success. The String Project is a structured, low-cost, after school musical training program for children ages 5-18 in the community. This program provides a unique opportunity to learn a string instrument and to play in a string orchestra. Currently, Marywood University is the only venue in the region to offer this program that has gained a positive reputation among music professionals.
