I was looking forward to owning this vehicle. Im 67 and have owned many GM and Ford vehicles. I had to trade my lovely Lincoln MKZ for this vehicle when I became a foster parent of 3 children. I was excited to own a Toyota - they have a tremendous reputation for quality. This was my first opportunity to experience. This vehicle is basically very, very sound. But the convenience, electronic, and design features - stink. I could make a list a mile long. Here is an example. When you turn the engine off, the radio/audio is off immediately. Really? You have to sit in your garage and let your engine run to hear the end of a song or the news? The headlights are poor, the auto-dimming spotty performance. The XM radio has no repeat. Its presets dont display channel names, only numbers. The display is low definition. You cant intentionally lock your keys in the car! (doesnt everyone want to do this occasionally? Like at the dealership for pickup after hours?) Manual odometer and reset. Poor and lack of information given on display such as mileage tied to trip A or B. Apparently no volume control on navigation speaker. Too many features require a manual or google to operate. This is the first car I have ever purchased that I simply hate.

Got this vehicle 3 weeks now. Got about 2500 miles on it only. So far, it has been a huge pleasure to go for days and days of in-town driving a huge vehicle and still only go through half a tank of gas. It s a first time owning a hybrid, and we love it although it takes a little getting used to. High points being seating comfort, low sound level. Acceleration is adequate. Handling is on par, given that this is an SUV. (My other car is an Audi S4). We got this as our road tripping car, and we are looking forward to it. So far we have taken it on two days trips, and it has been everything we expected. We also fully expect exceptional Toyota reliability for years to come. The only down-side: that infotainment screen can use some serious updating in improving resolution. Also, Toyota needs to reposition the screen from direct sunlight.
