“What do you like about working at Toyota of Scranton?”

“Environment, team, atmosphere… We rely on each other on a daily basis. We’re a little family, we need each other…They send you to school for free. They invest in you as much as you invest in us, like how clean and organized our shop is and the support from everyone from the higher ups to each other and even the new guys.”

“Where do you see yourself long-term?”

I’d like to own a performance shop, have some passive investments, and become a master technician.”

“For a 24 year old, I have it great”

“What do you like about your current position?”

“We’re doctors for cars, it’s interesting… We’re trusted to do our job the right way and not rip people off. It’s a great feeling when I have a car and it runs right, and I know they are leaving the right way… If I mess up and do my job wrong… someone could get hurt. It’s important. It’s not like anyone walks anymore.

Soon after graduating from Johnson’s College in 2018, Mitch joined the team at Toyota of Scranton. He began with our express maintenance crew and quickly sought further training within the dealership to be a Toyota Certified Technician. He finds a ton of enjoyment in his current position, and considers himself to be a “doctor for cars.” Being trusted to do a job the right way is a responsibility that Mitch takes seriously, and ensuring that every driver feels good when they leave is equally as important. Doing a job successfully while giving great value to everyone that visits is a source of great satisfaction while on-the-job. Mitch puts a lot of stock into the work that he does for every individual, understanding that each vehicle’s health is of the utmost importance, and does his best to do each job safely and with great results.

For Mitch, having a workplace that takes their staff’s success seriously is invaluable. Mitch thoroughly enjoys being a member of Toyota of Scranton, citing an amazing environment for professional growth and excellent teamwork. Through his own training program, Mitch has come to recognize the investment of Toyota of Scranton into their employees, and the tons of support that each staff member receives. Mitch hopes to continue to further his own knowledge as a technician, and hopes to one day be a master technician. He also has dreams of owning his own performance shop to make the most out of his passion for working on vehicles.
